Located at The Ramble Hotel in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood, Super Mega Bien offers an adventurous and approachable menu of modern Latin American, Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. In partnership with James Beard Foundation-recognized Chef Dana Rodriguez, owners Chef Victor Mena and Jenn Mena-Wenstrom offer small plates served tableside from a roving dim sum-style cart, family-style entrees meant to be shared, and creative libations with a high-energy, boisterous, and delicious experience unlike anything else in Denver.

Owner, Director of Operations

Jenn Mena-Wenstrom is the director of operations at Super Mega Bien, which she co-owns with her husband, executive chef Victor Mena, and acclaimed Denver chef Dana Rodriguez.

Mena-Wenstrom has a rich background in restaurant management and the hospitality industry. Prior to Super Mega Bien, she has worked at several Denver establishments including Root Down Denver, Que Bueno Suerte, Viand Modern American and Reunion Gastropub. Mena-Wenstrom also boasts extensive experience in the wine industry and as a Level Two sommelier, has developed and managed beverage programs at various restaurants. She also spent four years at Veraison Beverage Distributors as a sales representative, managing on- and off-premise accounts.

Mena-Wenstrom now assumes a multi-faceted role at Super Mega Bien, overseeing the bar program and contributing her expertise to both front- and back-of-house operations. When she’s not at work, she enjoys gardening, hiking in Colorado’s mountains, traveling and spending time with her family.

Owner, Executive Chef

Born and raised in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, Victor Mena’s culinary journey began in his youth. His Mexican heritage plays a pivotal role in his approach to cooking, and the love his mother poured into preparing meals for the family instilled in him a profound passion for fostering a sense of community through food.

Mena began his journey at Super Mega Bien as a line cook when the restaurant first opened its doors in 2018, progressing to chef in 2019 and taking an ownership role in the restaurant alongside his wife Jenn in 2023. Before his time at Super Mega Bien, Victor held various positions at renowned Denver-area establishments, working alongside his mentor, James Beard-recognized chef, Dana Rodriguez, at many of them. Mena served as a line cook at Work & Class, sous chef at Rioja and chef de cuisine at Root Down, Linger and Willow Creek restaurant in Evergreen.

For Mena the essence of his role at Super Mega Bien lies in passing on the knowledge he’s gained from his culinary mentors and experiences to his kitchen crew. His approach centers around supporting a well-educated, cohesive team.

Outside of work, he finds joy in playing soccer, exploring the scenic beauty of Colorado’s mountains with his family and indulging in his passion for movies, with a particular fondness for movies in the Marvel and “Star Wars” universes.
