November. Can you believe it? This year has sped by. But here we are, in the holiday season, where we can support local businesses, have some wonderful experiences, and celebrate love and compassion for others. Here’s what we find to be In Good Taste in November, brought to you by our friends at Denver BAZAAR.

Ongoing events In Good Taste in November:

Holiday Happenings A Christmas Carol is back at the Wolf Theatre, Nov. 17-Dec. 24. We never tire of seeing the musical telling of Scrooge’s transformation, with themes of acceptance, community, and joy.

All Stars: American Artists from The Phillips Collection at the Denver Art Museum, Nov. 12-March 3, covers more than 140 years of works by more than 50 artists include Child Hassam, Georgia O’Keeffe, Jackson Pollock and others. This is a ticketed event with discounts for members.

BEZEL Cocktail Lounge has new food and beverage offerings through the end of the year that include the Pass Me The Yams and Applejack Sazerack cocktails and Hot Honey Brussels Sprouts and Elk and Green Chili Empanada food items.

Holiday Happenings Blossoms of Light(R) starts Nov. 17 and runs through Jan. 7, creating a winter wonderland in the heart of the city with thousands of lights at Denver Botanic Gardens. This is one of the IGTD team’s annual holiday traditions.

Holiday Happenings Camp Christmas is back inside at Stanley Marketplace, Nov. 16-Dec. 24. The event packs everything you love about the holidays together in nostalgia, modernity, and quirkiness in interactive life-size vignettes. There are also visits with Santa and VIP Camp Drag Queen Experiences.

Holiday Happenings Chautauqua Dining Hall serves Holiday Afternoon Tea, Nov. 20-Jan. 14, 2-4pm. For $32 per adults ($16 age 12 and under), get a three-tiered assortment of sweet and savory pastries, scones, tea sandwiches, sweet cakes and a pot of premium tea. Reservations are required.

Holiday Happenings Cherry Creek Holiday Market returns, running Nov. 16-Dec. 24, it’s an opportunity to shop local makers, designers, and creators. There’s also a Mistletoe Lounge experience in festival, real-life snow globe where you can enjoy holiday drinks, live music, and other interactive experiences.

Cinema Azteca is a Spanish language film series every Tuesday night at MCA Denver. It provides moviegoers with a diverse perspective on film traditions of Mexico and Latin America.

Holiday Happenings Cirque du Soleil Black Friday deal runs Nov. 14-28 with 30% off tickets for upcoming shows. Scroll to the black box mid-page that says “Share Joy This Black Friday with Larger-than-life Savings.”

Holiday Happenings Colorado Ballet: The Nutcracker runs Nov. 25-Dec. 24. See the classic production with score by Tchaikovsky.

News Colorado UnCorked, the only public tasting for the 2023 Governor’s Cup Collection, presented Best in Show to Alfred Eames Cellars for its 2019 Carmena wine. The Cellars is located at Puesta del Sol Vineyards, south of Paonia.

We’re going, are you? Denver Arts Week, Nov. 3-11, is the annual opportunity to visit old favorite arts and culture destinations and discover new ones, from art of all mediums and sizes, to performing arts, to literary and cinematic offerings.

Holiday Happenings Denver Christkindlmarket runs Nov. 17-Dec. 23 in Civic Center Park. The authentic German-style holiday market hosts local and European artisans and food and drink.

Denver Fashion Week, Colorado’s largest fashion event, runs Nov. 11-19. Highlights include American Luxury fashion house St. John, a Sustainable fashion show and seven-year-old fashion prodigy Max Alexander presenting his line.

Denver Film Festival runs Nov. 3-12, celebrating its 46th year. There will be red carpet events, premiers, creative conversations, star-sightings and more.

Deviation Distilling releases an autumnal drink menu that uses house made ingredients like pumpkin parmesan foam and peanut butter fat-washed bourbon. Look for drinks like the Sesame State of Mind, Mango Lassi with Pistachio-Washed Blood Orange Gin, and Peanut Butter Old Fashioned.

Holiday Happenings Dia de los Muertos will be celebrated at Toro and Tamayo restaurants through Nov. 5 with food specials with optional drink pairings and cocktails with paired light bites.

Flight Club, creators of Social Darts ®, introduces Social Roll-Up, an easy way for dart lovers to stop in and play a game of darts reservation-free and cost-free. While there, enjoy shareable bites inspired by international cuisine like Lobster Elote Dip, Pork Belly Bao Buns, and Buffalo Chicken Flatbread.

Get Stoked Music & Movie Series at Warren Station at Keystone kicks off with “The Land of Giants” on Nov. 4 and “Warren Miller’ “All Time” plus a concert featuring Hobo Village and Eyes Wide Open.

Halcyon On Ice, Nov. 2-March 31, is an opportunity to ice skate on the rooftop of the Halcyon, a hotel in Cherry Creek. For $30, guests get two-hours of rink time and a pair of skates to rent. Stop off at the Holiday Bake Shop by Pastry Chef Saura Kline through Dec. 21 for holiday food and drink treats.

HashTAG opens a location in Highlands Ranch on Nov. 16. Don’t miss their pancakes, cast-iron cinnamon rolls and eggs benedict.

Holiday Happenings Holiday Tea at Local Jones inside The Halcyon is available Tue.-Sun, Nov. 3-Dec. 31. Sip tea with warm scones, house-made pastries, savory sandwiches and champaign.

Holiday Happenings Hudson Holidays at Hudson Gardens, provides meandering paths of illuminated trees and sculptures, with lots of photo opps. It runs Nov. 24-Dec. 31.

Jovanina’s Broken Italian celebrates their 5th anniversary with a special menu available Nov. 2-30. Fan favorites from over the years will be served in a three-course menu that includes Sicilian Castelvetrano olives, black Tuscan kale Caesar salad and elk Bolognese.

Holiday Happenings Loveland Light Trail provides a self-guided tour of the greatest organized light displays in town, including Winter Wonderlights (see more on that below), Festival of Lights and Christmas Walk in the Woods, just to name a few.

News Main Shack Boulder has opened with an expanded menu, full bar, and outdoor seating. As with their other location in Denver, the interior decor is from their friends, the Maine Cabin Masters, for a very Maine vibe to go along with the fresh-catch food items.

MAMMA MIA! continues through Nov. 5 with the musical that takes ABBA songs and weaves them into a storyline about parenthood, friendship, adventure, and love.

Holiday Happenings Merry & Bright Lights Show runs daily, Nov. 24-Dec. 31, turning the exterior facade of Denver Union Station into a canvas for a light show of interactive imagery created by local Denver artists, accompanied by holiday music.

Holiday Happenings Miracle at Union Station , Nov. 22-Dec. 29, is an evening pop-up cocktail bar with holiday decor, festive cocktails and general holiday spirit, including a special Hanukkah table. Reservations are recommended.

Museum for Black Girls is open in the Denver Pavilions. The immersive pop-up sensory museum features more than 15 art installations so that guests can interact the art. The intention was to highlight black girl magic moments, but the organizers of the traveling event encourage everyone to come.

Nocturne has a new fall menu including the Octopus Ceviche Tostada, Pan-Seared Duck Breast, and Pumpkin Croissant Bread Pudding.

OAK at Fourteenth has begun introducing new fall menu items. Alongside daily specials, the menu is anchored by autumnal pasta, seasonal local vegetables, and more.

News Oliver’s Italian has opened in Greenwood Village. Started by Sean Huggard of Shucking Good Hospitality and Blue Island Oyster Bar. It’s an old-school Italian spot serving iconic pasta dishes including saltimbocca, bistecca, pasta limone plus raw bar items.

One Ohan a guest bartender series continues at Adrift with Josh Duncan creating Speyside Soiree. The drink features Santa Teres Speyside Cask rum, Bank Note Scotch Whisky, Salvia y Limon, Lemon, Guava, and Alchermes. A portion of proceeds from this cocktail will benefit the Denver Rescue Mission throughout November.

Osaké Steak and Sushi in Salida, introduces new menus which includes Chinese Purple Panda Asian Fusion menu and a Thai Bangkok Happy Bowl menu. They also now offer a Dim Sum breakfast every Sunday.

News Sarpino’s , a pizza and Italian food delivery franchise owned by a Colorado team, has opened in Westminster. They use scratch ingredients for pizza, calzones, pastas, sandwiches and salads and have a full menu of vegan offerings too.

Holiday Happenings Season of Gratitude kicks off at Snooze A.M. Eatery with a holiday menu on Nov. 16, available through Jan. 3. Items include Cranberry Orange Pancakes, Short Rib and Gruyere Polenta and Cranberry Orange Snoozius drinks. The event includes a $35,000 donation to World Central Kitchen plus weekly giveaways.

Slater’s 50/50 November Specials include the Thanksgiving Burger with a ⅓ pound turkey patty piled with brioche stuffing, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, and a garlic-sage aioli. They also have a Pumpkin Pie Milkshake.

Holiday Happenings Snowdrift returns, turning Adrift Tiki Bar into a winter wonderland Nov. 24-Dec. 30. The festive holiday pop-up has powdery snow, a heated patio, and holiday food and drink menu.

Super Mega Bien has a new fall menu that plays on Latin America, Spain and Portugual. Examples include Moqueca (coconut shrimp soup), Ensalada de Calabaza (pumpkin salad), Alcachofas a la Parrilla (grilled artichokes) and Mexican Bread Pudding Capirotada.

Sweater Weather red wine flights at Three Saints Revival means that $1 from each flight sold will go directly to the nonprofit Clothes to Kids of Denver.

Holiday Happenings Tinseltown lets you go all-in on Christmas and winter fun with a holiday-themed pop-up at the Denver Pavilions. Open Nov. 22-Dec. 30, the activation includes festive cocktails, Santa’s elves, tinsel, holiday tunes.

Holiday Happenings Trail of Lights opens Nov. 24 and goes until Jan. 1 at Chatfield Farms, presenting creative and charming displays of lights to discover as you meander this rural scene.

News Uncle Tim’s Cocktails has released an Old-Fashioned Series tasting set of bottled cocktails, featuring three takes on the classic recipe. There’s also a Barrel-Aged Black Walnut Manhattan.

Holiday Happenings Winter Wonderlights returns to Loveland at Chapangu Sculpture Park at Centerra from Nov. 18-Jan. 1. Winter Wonderlights LIVE! celebrations will take place Nov. 18, Dec. 2 and Dec. 16 and include appearances by Santa in his 26-foot inflatable Santa Haus, live reindeer, ice sculpting, and dance performances on Colorado’s largest inflatable igloo stage, and a variety of food trucks and giveaways.

Holiday Happenings Who-ligan Holiday Entertainment , Dec. 2, 9, 16, and 23, starts with a family-friendly story time led by Cindy Lou Who in The Maven Lobby with hot cocoa and cookies. Then enjoy free photo ops with favorite holiday characters including Grinch-i-poo.

Holiday Happenings Yo Soy Arte: Calacas y Catrinas , happening through Nov. 5 is Denver Botanic Gardens’ new event celebrating Mexican culture and the artistic traditions of Dia de los Muertos.
